very unique shape boards that look their they’re cut straight out of a tree branch. The reason you don’t see Borde shaped like this is because they were very challenging to mill, they were custom, selected and custom mailed at the Sawmill by our partners then each unique shape was carved by hand for aesthetics. Please enjoy them as a starter in your kitchen. They are rugged enough to take a lifetime of pounding and still be handed down.

Wood is sustainably sourced by partnering with local tree cutters harvesting overgrowth and storm damage. 
------- Why does Saintlywood use Local, Sustainable Mesquite? --------
1.Mesquite makes a high-quality cutting board. It is a rugged desert hardwood that produces natural oils to resist drought. This translates into a super-hard, durable cutting surface that won’t warp over time. I wouldn't want my artwork on a board that will fall apart in 6 months. 
2.Mesquite lends itself to the artwork. Mesquite is the only wood that is 1) hard enough, 2) able to be woodburned and 3) light enough to allow contrast and shading (example: walnut is too dark to see woodburning)
3.Mesquite is an exotic hardwood that is local to Arizona
